Well, the new Babcock chicks are 15 days old today, and I took a couple of photographs of them and gave them a weigh-in!  Their average weight is now 105 gms each, which isn't bad as when I tried to weigh them last week, they only seemed to be just over 42gms.  So they must have been smaller than the Amberlinks at the same age. Pois bem, o novo Babcock pintos são 15 dias de idade, hoje, e eu levei um casal de fotografias deles e lhes deu uma pesar-nos! Seu peso médio é agora 105 gramas cada, o que não é tão ruim quando tentei pesá-los na semana passada, eles só parecia ser um pouco mais de 42gms. Então, eles devem ter sido menor do que a Amberlinks na mesma idade.

They still look really dinky though!  Had to take one out today as she was being pecked.  I sprayed her with purple spray, but the others still kept pecking her.  Then I tried the vaseline and liquid paraffin.  Okay, it sort of worked as when each one pecked her, they got a nasty taste and didn't do it anymore, but they were all having a peck,  so I took her out and put her in a big box in the dining room.  I've put another with her for company, and I'll keep them in there for a couple of days until her tail heals a bit. Eles continuam a procurar realmente Dinky embora! Teve de tomar uma de hoje como ela estava sendo pecked. Pulverizado ela me com spray roxo, mas os outros continuam mantidos picotagem ela. Então eu tentei a vaselina e parafina líquida. Ok, ele trabalhou como espécie de quando cada um pecked ela, eles tiveram um sabor desagradável, e não fazê-lo, deixa de ser, mas eles eram todos terem um peck, por isso assumi-la para fora e coloque-a em uma grande caixa na sala de jantar. Eu coloquei uma outra com para a sua empresa, e eu vou lá para mantê-los em um par de dias até sua cauda cura um pouco.

Then when I weighed some of the meat chicks!!!!!  2 of the White ones weighed in at 1.75kgs, and the brown and grey ones came in at  1.45 kgs as they are slower growing!    Hubby thought the grey ones looked bigger though! Então, quando eu pesava cerca de carne de pintos !!!!! 2 do Branco queridos pesou em pelo 1.75kgs, eo castanho e cinzento queridos chegou a 1,45 kg em como eles são cada vez mais lento! Hubby o pensamento cinzento queridos olhou maiores embora !

They are very funny to watch though when they are out in the run.  they run around like maniacs, then suddenly sit down as if it's all too much!  Although they are getting heavier, they do have strong legs to hold them, unlike the poor little things kept in broiler sheds who haven't got the strength to stand up, let alone fly around!  They use their wings to help them get along.  Along 2 sides of the big house, there is a concrete ledge about 1ft wide and it very quickly warms up in the sunshine.  They love sitting on it sunbathing! Eles são muito divertido de assistir embora quando eles estão fora na corrida. Maniacs como eles correm em redor e, em seguida, sentar-se como se de repente está tudo muito! Apesar de serem cada vez mais pesado, eles têm pernas fortes para contê-los, ao contrário dos pobres poucas coisas frangos mantidos em abrigos que não tive a força para enfrentar, e muito menos em torno de voar! Eles utilizam as suas asas para ajudá-los a obter junto. Juntamente 2 lados da casa grande, há uma concreta mentos de largura e cerca de 1ft - muito rapidamente nos aquece o sol. Amam sessão em que apanhar sol!

Oh and I forgot to tell you, that when we went to pick up the new chicks, we also ordered another 250 Amberlink day olds.  They will be hatched the week of 16 June, so there will be some more babies to look after!!  They'll reach point of lay mid October! Ah, esqueci-me de lhe dizer, que, quando fomos para pegar o novo pintos, também ordenou outro 250 dias Amberlink idade. Eles serão eclodido a semana de 16 de junho, por isso, haverá mais alguns bebês para cuidar! Eles vão chegar a ponto de estabelecer meados de Outubro!
