Good Friday is here, which means the chicks are one week and one day old today!  They are doing very well, no losses yet!!  Fingers crossed I won't lose any.  Mind you, I have learnt a lot over the past 6 months or so!  All the Amberlinks are either gone, with the last dozen ordered and paid for!  And going out to 2 different homes next week and the week after! Sexta-feira Santa é aqui, o que significa que a mulherada é uma semana e um dia velho hoje! Eles estão fazendo muito bem, sem perdas ainda!! Dedos cruzados não vou perder nenhum. Mind você, eu tenho aprendido muito ao longo dos últimos 6 meses, ou que assim seja! Todas as Amberlinks são ou desaparecido, com a última dúzia encomendado e pago! E saindo para 2 diferentes casas na próxima semana e na semana seguinte!

I didn't weigh the chicks yesterday, as it was VERY cold and VERY windy, but I weighed them this morning, and from a starting weight of about 40gms, they are now between 80 and 100 gms each!  so they are doing well!  I think the Amberlinks were between 65 and 80 their first week. Eu não pesam os pintos ontem, como era MUITO MUITO frio e ventoso, mas eu pesava deles esta manhã, e começando a partir de um peso de cerca de 40gms, eles já estão entre 80 e 100 gramas cada um! Forma que eles estão a fazer bem! Acho que o Amberlinks tinham entre 65 e 80 sua primeira semana.

I had a lovely couple bring their children round to see the remaining Amberlinks today, and to learn a little about keeping chickens.  I'm no expert by any means, but I love talking about my chooks, and its lovely seeing children taking an interest too!  And they have promised to have 4 of my next lot of point of lays, and also, maybe a couple of oven ready's!!! Eu tinha um lindo casal trazer os filhos para ver o restante ronda Amberlinks hoje, e para aprender um pouco sobre como criar frangos. Sou nenhum perito por qualquer meio, mas eu adoro falar da minha chooks, e vendo lindos seus filhos tendo um interesse também! E eles têm de ter prometido 4 do meu próximo lote do ponto de fixa, e também, talvez um par de forno pronto's!

The chicks are really rushing around the brooder shed now!  And they've picked out one of the feed troughs to be their perch, so they sleep on it at night!  Today, one even went to sleep with her head INSIDE the trough!  They are eating so much now though, and I can't wait to get a proper feeder in there for them, but they aren't really tall enough yet to reach over the rim!  But hopefully next week.   Their wings have grown so much this past week though!  You wouldn't credit it!!! A mulherada é realmente apressando ao redor do galpão chocadeira agora! E eles já retirei uma das calhas para alimentação animal a ser o seu poleiro, por isso eles dormem à noite sobre ele! Hoje, um mesmo ia dormir com a cabeça dela no interior da sarjeta! Eles estão comendo tão bem que agora, e eu não posso esperar para ter uma alimentação adequada para eles lá dentro, mas que não são altos o suficiente para chegar ainda sobre a jante! Mas esperamos que na próxima semana. Suas asas têm crescido tanto esta semana passada embora! Você não creditá-lo!
