Well, the new Babcock chicks are 15 days old today, and I took a couple of photographs of them and gave them a weigh-in!  Their average weight is now 105 gms each, which isn't bad as when I tried to weigh them last week, they only seemed to be just over 42gms.  So they must have been smaller than the Amberlinks at the same age. Ebbene, il nuovo Babcock pulcini sono 15 giorni di età oggi, e ho preso un paio di fotografie di loro e ha dato loro un peso-in! Loro peso medio è ora ogni 105 GMS, che non è male come quando ho cercato di pesare la settimana scorsa, sembrava che solo da poco più di 42gms. Così che deve essere stato inferiore a quello Amberlinks allo stesso tempo.

They still look really dinky though!  Had to take one out today as she was being pecked.  I sprayed her with purple spray, but the others still kept pecking her.  Then I tried the vaseline and liquid paraffin.  Okay, it sort of worked as when each one pecked her, they got a nasty taste and didn't do it anymore, but they were all having a peck,  so I took her out and put her in a big box in the dining room.  I've put another with her for company, and I'll keep them in there for a couple of days until her tail heals a bit. Essi guardano ancora se davvero Dinky! Dovuto prendere uno come lei oggi è stato pecked. Irrorati con la sua viola spray, ma gli altri ancora conservato la sua gerarchia. Poi ho cercato la vaselina e paraffina liquida. Okay, è sorta di lavorato come quando ciascuno pecked lei, hanno avuto un brutto gusto e non farlo più, ma sono stati tutti hanno un Peck, così ho preso il suo posto e la sua in una grande scatola nella sala da pranzo. Ho messo un altro con per la sua azienda, and I'll tenerli lì per un paio di giorni fino alla sua coda guarisce un po '.

Then when I weighed some of the meat chicks!!!!!  2 of the White ones weighed in at 1.75kgs, and the brown and grey ones came in at  1.45 kgs as they are slower growing!    Hubby thought the grey ones looked bigger though! Poi quando ho pesato alcuni dei pulcini di carne !!!!! 2 del bianco pesato in quelli a 1.75kgs, e il marrone e grigio venuto in quelli a 1,45 kg in quanto sono più lento aumento! Hubby il pensiero grigio quelli più grandi se guardato !

They are very funny to watch though when they are out in the run.  they run around like maniacs, then suddenly sit down as if it's all too much!  Although they are getting heavier, they do have strong legs to hold them, unlike the poor little things kept in broiler sheds who haven't got the strength to stand up, let alone fly around!  They use their wings to help them get along.  Along 2 sides of the big house, there is a concrete ledge about 1ft wide and it very quickly warms up in the sunshine.  They love sitting on it sunbathing! Sono molto divertente per guardare se quando sono in esecuzione. Che corrono intorno come Maniacs, poi improvvisamente sedersi come se è tutto troppo! Anche se sono sempre più pesanti, esse hanno un forte gambe a detenerli, a differenza dei poveri piccole cose tenuti in capannoni di polli da carne che non hanno la forza di alzarsi, per non parlare di volare in giro! Essi usano le loro ali per aiutarli ad andare d'accordo. 2 Lungo i lati della grande casa, non vi è una concreta sporgenza circa 1 piede largo e che molto rapidamente si riscalda al sole. Essi amano la seduta su di esso per prendere il sole!

Oh and I forgot to tell you, that when we went to pick up the new chicks, we also ordered another 250 Amberlink day olds.  They will be hatched the week of 16 June, so there will be some more babies to look after!!  They'll reach point of lay mid October! Oh e mi sono dimenticato di dire, che quando siamo andati a prendere il nuovo pulcini, abbiamo anche un altro ordine 250 Amberlink giorni di età. Essi sono nati la settimana del 16 giugno, così non ci sarà più alcuni bambini a guardare dopo!! Che arriva punto di gettare la metà di ottobre!
