- Another Weigh-in today! Peser une autre-en!
Well, the new Babcock chicks are 15 days old today, and I took a couple of photographs of them and gave them a weigh-in! Their average weight is now 105 gms each, which isn't bad as when I tried to weigh them last week, they only seemed to be just over 42gms. So they must have been smaller than the Amberlinks at the same age. Eh bien, la nouvelle Babcock poussins sont de 15 jours aujourd'hui, et j'ai pris quelques photos d'eux et leur a donné une pesée! Leur poids moyen est maintenant 105 g chacun, ce qui n'est pas mauvais que lorsque j'ai essayé de peser la semaine dernière, ils ne semblent être un peu plus de 42gms. Alors, ils doivent avoir été inférieure à la Amberlinks au même âge.
They still look really dinky though! Had to take one out today as she was being pecked. I sprayed her with purple spray, but the others still kept pecking her. Then I tried the vaseline and liquid paraffin. Okay, it sort of worked as when each one pecked her, they got a nasty taste and didn't do it anymore, but they were all having a peck, so I took her out and put her in a big box in the dining room. I've put another with her for company, and I'll keep them in there for a couple of days until her tail heals a bit. Ils continuent à regarder vraiment si dinky! Dû prendre un aujourd'hui comme elle était pecked. Je pulvérisé son pulvérisation de pourpre, mais les autres toujours conservé sa hiérarchie. Ensuite, j'ai essayé la vaseline et de paraffine liquide. Bon, il a travaillé de sorte que lorsque chacun pecked elle, ils ont obtenu un méchant goût et ne pas faire plus, mais ils étaient tous avoir une Peck, alors j'ai pris son et mis dans une grande boîte dans la salle à manger. J'ai mis un autre avec pour son entreprise, et je vais les garder là-dedans pour un couple de jours avant sa queue guérit un peu. (…)
