  • Another Weigh-in today! Otro Pesar en la actualidad!

    Well, the new Babcock chicks are 15 days old today, and I took a couple of photographs of them and gave them a weigh-in!  Their average weight is now 105 gms each, which isn't bad as when I tried to weigh them last week, they only seemed to be just over 42gms.  So they must have been smaller than the Amberlinks at the same age. Bueno, la nueva Babcock polluelos son 15 días de edad el día de hoy, y tomé un par de fotografías de ellos y les dio un peso-a! Su peso medio es ahora 105 gramos cada una, lo cual no es malo como cuando traté de pesar la semana pasada, sólo parecía ser un poco más de 42gms. Así que debe haber sido menor que el Amberlinks a la misma edad.
    They still look really dinky though!  Had to take one out today as she was being pecked.  I sprayed her with purple spray, but the others still kept pecking her.  Then I tried the vaseline and liquid paraffin.  Okay, it sort of worked as when each one pecked her, they got a nasty taste and didn't do it anymore, but they were all having a peck,  so I took her out and put her in a big box in the dining room.  I've put another with her for company, and I'll keep them in there for a couple of days until her tail heals a bit. Siguen ver realmente Dinky! Tenía que tener uno, ya que hoy se está pecked. Me rociaron con su spray morado, pero los demás aún mantienen su picoteo. Luego he intentado la vaselina y parafina líquida. Bueno, tipo de trabajado como cuando cada uno pecked ella, que obtuvo un sabor desagradable y no hacerlo nunca más, pero fueron todos los que tengan un picotear, por lo que la llevó a cabo y la puso en una gran caja en el comedor. He dicho de otro con para su empresa, y voy a seguir en él durante un par de días hasta que su cola un poco sana. (…)
