Well, the longest day has come and gone and now we are counting down to Christmas!!!  A lady put a wanted on our local freecycle for Christmas decorations, so it must be getting near!!!!  I offered her my spare Christmas tree, but someone else gave her one first! Bueno, el día más largo se ha ido y venido y ahora estamos contando a la Navidad! Una señora quería poner un local en nuestra freecycle para decoraciones de Navidad, por lo que debe estar cerca!! I le ofreció a mi árbol de Navidad de repuesto , Pero alguien le dio un primero!

Anyway, chickens!  Well, we still have 17 meat chickens here, it was a bit hot Monday and Tuesday and Brian doesn't like hanging them up when its too warm as we only have the garage, but even that can get warm, we need an old tall fridge that we can adapt for hanging space.  They do taste better when they've been hanging for a few days! De todos modos, los pollos! Bueno, todavía tenemos 17 pollos de carne aquí, se caliente un poco el lunes y el martes y Brian no le gusta colgar ellos cuando su demasiado caliente como sólo tenemos el garaje, sino que incluso puede obtener cálido, que necesidad de altura, desde una nevera que podemos adaptar para colgar el espacio. The Babcock's are 12 weeks old now, and looking so grown up, but I forgot to take a photo.  I'll try to remember tomorrow, but I've sort of promised to help pluck chooks again!  Anyone would think I didn't have anything else to do!!! La Babcock son de 12 semanas de edad ahora, y busca de manera crecido, pero me olvidé de tomar una foto. Voy a tratar de recordar mañana, pero he prometido tipo de ayuda para arrancar de nuevo chooks! Cualquiera podría pensar que no tiene nada más que hacer!

The new Amberlinks are 2 weeks old and doing really well. El nuevo Amberlinks son 2 semanas de edad y haciendo muy bien. I have one little runt, but she doesn't look weak, although the others keep pushing her out of the way and walking over her head!  But whereas they are all about 100gms, she is only 50gms!!!  Here she is on the scales and with one of her mates! Tengo un poco runt, pero ella no parece débil, aunque los demás seguir presionando a salir del camino y caminar sobre su cabeza! Sin embargo, que todos son unos 100gms, ella es sólo 50gms! Aquí ella está en el escalas y con uno de sus compañeros!

She is soo sweet, and I hope she doesn't die as she's a perky little thing!  Touch wood, I haven't lost any of them yet!!!! Ella es dulce soo, y espero que no mueren como ella es una cosa poco alegre! Toque madera, no he perdido ninguna de ellas todavía!!

And this is them when they cuddle up for the night!  At least its SOME of them lol Y esto es cuando un abrazo de la noche! Por lo menos su algunos de ellos lol

They seem to take it in turns as to where they sleep, sometimes they are down one end of the brooder shed, sometimes down the other end and sometimes in the middle, but they don't sleep under their lamps much,but as they are only 2 weeks yet, I'm loathe to leave the lamp off at night.  I don't have them on during the day unless we have a cold snap, and they seem fine.  We even had the window open this week and today I left a door open and jammed some wire in the space so they can't get out, but it isn't all open, there is hardboard up to 2ft all round the shed, including the doorways. Ellos parecen tener en cuanto a turnos cuando duermen, a veces se establecen una final de la nave clueca, a veces en el otro extremo y, a veces, en el centro, pero no duerme bajo sus lámparas mucho, pero como son tan sólo 2 semanas, sin embargo, me aborrecen a salir fuera de la lámpara en la noche. No tengo en ellos durante el día si no tienen una ola de frío, y parecen bien. Incluso había abierto la ventana esta semana y hoy me la izquierda una puerta abierta y algunas de alambre atascado en el espacio de modo que no puede salir, pero no es todo abierto, hay duros de hasta 2 pies alrededor de la nave, incluidas las puertas.

I counted the bags of chick crumb this afternoon, and so far in 2 weeks they have eaten 80kgs of food!!!  Bit more than the last lot of Amberlinks did! Me contó las bolsas de pollo miga de esta tarde, y hasta la fecha en 2 semanas que han comido alimentos de 80kgs! Poco más que el último lote de Amberlinks hizo!

They even fly up onto the top of the feeders now as well as walking around the edges, its like a little fairground in there sometimes!!!! Incluso en volar hasta la parte superior de los alimentadores de ahora, así como caminar alrededor de los bordes, como su un poco en el recinto ferial hay a veces!!

Last week we went to our local garden centre for a walk round, and they've started to sell POL chickens.  They had these chickens in a run inside the pet section.  Well it was so hot in there, and the 2 speckeldy's they had in the run didn't have any water, so I went and told an assistant, and she said she would go and tell the appropriate assistant!  Why she couldn't just go and fill the drinker up I don't know, but we waited quite a while before someone came to see to them. La semana pasada fuimos a nuestro local jardín centro de una ronda a pie, y que han comenzado a vender los pollos POL. Tenían estos pollos en una carrera dentro de la sección de mascotas. Bueno, estaba tan caliente allí, y el 2 de la speckeldy que habían en la carrera no tenía ninguna agua, así que fui y le dijo a un ayudante, y ella dice que ir y decirle a la asistente! ¿Por qué no podía ir y llenar el bebedor hasta no sé, pero Esperé un rato antes de que alguien vino a ver a ellos. Anyway, we carried on with what we were doing, although the thought of charging people £19.95 each for a hybrid chicken was niggling me!!!! De todas formas, llevamos con lo que estábamos haciendo, aunque el pensamiento de la percepción de la gente £ 19.95 cada uno por un híbrido de pollo se me niggling!!

Anyway, the other day, I gets a phone call, yep, from the garden centre!  Help said the voice, we have started to sell chickens, yes I know I told him, we've seen them!  Well he says, we were wondering if you could supply us on  a regular basis, we sell about 20 a fortnight and we can't get a regular supply!  But I had to decline their request, as I haven't got enough chickens for my own customers, let alone someone else's!  But I'm not sure I'd like my chooks being inside that hot garden centre, they should have been outside, And if anyone is going to get nearly 20 quid for a chicken, it should be me, not the middle man!!!!! De todos modos, el otro día, me recibe una llamada de teléfono, Sí, desde el jardín centro! Ayuda dice la voz, hemos comenzado a vender los pollos, sí sé que le dijo, hemos visto! Bueno, dice, se nos preguntaba si nos podía suministrar de forma regular, que vendemos alrededor del 20 una quincena y no podemos obtener un suministro regular! Pero yo tenía a disminuir su petición, como no tengo suficiente para mi los pollos propios clientes, por no hablar de alguien más! Pero no estoy seguro de que me gustaría a mi estar dentro de chooks que caliente el jardín centro, que debería haber sido fuera, y si alguien va a obtener cerca de 20 libras para un pollo, que debería ser yo, no el medio hombre !!!!!

Another man who has started to make chicken houses asked if I could supply him, but I had to say the same,we only have room for up to 300 at a time, and perhaps 3 times a year plus the older chooks and the meat chooks plus my own laying hens. Otro hombre que ha empezado a hacer gallineros me preguntó si le podía suministrar, pero tuve que decir lo mismo, sólo tenemos espacio para hasta 300 en un tiempo, y quizás 3 veces al año además de los mayores chooks y la carne chooks además de mi propio las gallinas ponedoras.

Hubby keeps looking at houses with lots of land, but like I've said before, I don't want to take on a bigger mortgage at my age!  And since we started keeping more chickens I don't have time for my hobbies anymore.  I used to cross stitch all my greetings cards then I started makng them in other quicker ways, plus I've got a computer to fix, but it all takes time, but so do the chickens.  Imagine if I had 20,000 to look after!!!!  Hubby doesn't do much to help, he doesn't even like clearing up the dinner things after I've done the cooking!!! Cielo sigue buscando en casas con lotes de tierra, pero como he dicho antes, no quiero asumir una hipoteca más grande a mi edad! Y desde que comenzamos de mantenimiento de más pollos no tengo tiempo para mis aficiones más . Solía cruz saludos a todos mis tarjetas de entonces empecé a makng en otras formas más rápido, más tengo un ordenador para arreglar, pero todo lleva su tiempo, pero también lo hacen los pollos. Imagine si tuviera 20.000 a cuidar !! Cielo no hace mucho para ayudar, que ni siquiera como compensación hasta la cena después de las cosas que he hecho la cocina!
