Well, the Babcock's were 8 weeks old yesterday, and they are nearly all pre-booked, in fact 24 have already gone to their new homes and another 8 are paid for, waiting until they get to point of lay! They weigh between 700 and 800gms, with a few being slightly lighter, but I can only do half a dozen at a time, they are so quick, they are not easy to catch!!! They are getting a bit adventurous now!  The other day I found one of them in the run with the meat chickens.  Luckily the meat chickens just stood there and looked at the little Babcock, then tonight hubby put the chickens away, and he said one of the Babcock's had got into the garden, but not sure how she managed that!  The only way he could catch it was to take his jacket off and throw it over her! Se trata de conseguir un poco de aventura ahora! El otro día me encontré uno de ellos en la carrera con la carne de pollos. The meat chickens look huge now!  There are no white JA757's left now.  What's left are now in the freezer and hubby has started to cull the Coloryield's (brown ones).  He said they are much easier to pluck than the others, but I don't know why.  Some of them are coming up 8 or 9lbs before plucking and gutting, and the breasts are so thick, not at all like the stuff in the supermarkets! La carne de pollos enormes mirar ahora! No hay JA757 blanco de la izquierda ahora. Lo que queda ahora en el congelador y el esposo ha comenzado a sacrificar el Coloryield del (los de color marrón). Dijo que son mucho más fáciles de arrancar que los demás, pero yo no No sé por qué. Algunos de ellos están llegando hasta 8 o 9 libras antes de desplumado y la evisceración, y los pechos son tan espeso, no en todos, como las cosas en los supermercados!

Hubby is getting ready to order his turkey day olds ready for Christmas now.  The only thing is, he needs to build another shed QUICKLY for them to go in.  They will arive early August.  Just hope we can get some customers!  Otherwise it will be turkey for dinner every day next year!!!!  Roast turkey, turkey curry, turkey pie, turkey sausages, turkey risotto, turkey kebabs…………….  lol Cielo se dispone a ordenar su pavo días de edad listo para Navidad ahora. La única cosa es, él necesita para construir otra nave rápida para ir a pulg Ellos arive principios de agosto. Sólo espero que podamos conseguir algunos clientes! De lo contrario, ser pavo para la cena todos los días del año que viene!! pavo asado, pavo al curry, pastel de pavo, salchichas de pavo, pavo risotto, brochetas de pavo ... ... ... ... .... lol

We went to look at a small farm today, hubby really wants to expand our little enterprise, but I am always a bit wary about borrowing money, and we are not getting any younger!  I really don't want to have a bigger mortgage.  in fact at my age I shouldn't have a mortgage at all!  It was really nice though.  it has 24 acres, and although the house is old (the owner was born there and he's 83!!)  it's in good condition and parts of the house have been re-furbished.  It would be ideal, but what do I do?  There's also an very big old greenhouse and a small orchard, with loads of room for my vegetables too.  decisions, decisions!!! Fuimos a ver una pequeña granja hoy, esposo realmente quiere ampliar nuestra pequeña empresa, pero siempre estoy un poco cautelosos sobre los préstamos de dinero, y no está recibiendo ningún joven! Yo realmente no quiere tener una hipoteca más grande. de hecho, a mi edad no debería tener una hipoteca a todos! Fue realmente agradable, aunque. que tiene 24 acres, y aunque la casa es antigua (el propietario había nacido allí y que la 83!) está en buenas condiciones y sus partes de la casa han sido re-furbished.
