Good Friday is here, which means the chicks are one week and one day old today!  They are doing very well, no losses yet!!  Fingers crossed I won't lose any.  Mind you, I have learnt a lot over the past 6 months or so!  All the Amberlinks are either gone, with the last dozen ordered and paid for!  And going out to 2 different homes next week and the week after! Viernes Santo está aquí, lo que significa que los polluelos son una semana y un día, desde hoy! Ellos están haciendo muy bien, las pérdidas aún no! Dedos cruzados no voy a perder todo. I didn't weigh the chicks yesterday, as it was VERY cold and VERY windy, but I weighed them this morning, and from a starting weight of about 40gms, they are now between 80 and 100 gms each!  so they are doing well!  I think the Amberlinks were between 65 and 80 their first week. No me pesan los pollitos de ayer, ya que era muy frío y muy ventoso, pero me pesa esta mañana, y de un peso a partir de unos 40gms, ahora son entre 80 y 100 gramos cada uno! Por lo que estamos haciendo bien! Creo que la Amberlinks fueron entre 65 y 80 su primera semana.

I had a lovely couple bring their children round to see the remaining Amberlinks today, and to learn a little about keeping chickens.  I'm no expert by any means, but I love talking about my chooks, and its lovely seeing children taking an interest too!  And they have promised to have 4 of my next lot of point of lays, and also, maybe a couple of oven ready's!!! Tuve una hermosa joven que ronda a sus hijos para ver el resto de Amberlinks el día de hoy, y aprender un poco acerca de mantenimiento de los pollos. No soy experto, por cualquier medio, pero me encanta hablar de mi chooks, y su hermoso ver niños que tienen un interés demasiado! Y ellos se han comprometido a tener 4 de mi próximo gran punto de establece, y también, quizás un par de horno de la lista!

The chicks are really rushing around the brooder shed now!  And they've picked out one of the feed troughs to be their perch, so they sleep on it at night!  Today, one even went to sleep with her head INSIDE the trough!  They are eating so much now though, and I can't wait to get a proper feeder in there for them, but they aren't really tall enough yet to reach over the rim!  But hopefully next week.   Their wings have grown so much this past week though!  You wouldn't credit it!!! Los pollitos son realmente prisa en torno a la clueca arrojar ahora! Y han elegido uno de los comederos piensos para ser su perca, por lo que dormir en ella por la noche! Hoy en día, incluso uno fue a dormir con su cabeza a través de la DENTRO! Ellos están comiendo mucho, aunque ahora, y no puedo esperar para obtener un buen alimentador de allí para ellos, pero no son realmente de altura suficiente todavía para llegar a más de la llanta! Pero esperemos que la próxima semana. Sus alas han crecido tanto este aunque la semana pasada! Usted no es de crédito!
