Oh Dear……

I thought it was only a week since I last posted, but it's not, it's over 2 weeks!!!  Brain is getting old obviously!!! lol

Well, as things stand at the moment, all the turkeys have now been slaughtered.  the last few are hanging in the cold garage waiting to be cut up and frozen.  

We still have 20 meat chickens in the shed, but they will be going early next week.  they are a bit late, but sometimes things don't always go as planned!!!

The Babcock babies were 11 weeks old yesterday, so not long now hopefully til they start to lay.  I've got definite orders now for about 120 of them, a few have already gone, and I did have a few mortalities, so about 60 left.

I'd like to keep a few of them as we were so pleased with the Babcocks we raised last year, but I'm not selling all the eggs I'm getting from the 18 layers I've got now!  however, my older girls are 3 years old now, so I don't suppose they'll go on laying for too much longer!  So I don't know whether to keep any or not.
