It sounded really strange!  I'm used to turkeys making a loud gobbling noise, but a man came to buy 2 of the Babcock's, and he is thinking of buying a couple of turkeys, but by the time he gets his sheds set up, it may be too late to buy them as growers. 

Anyway, Brian took him to the door of the shed, and because the turkeys hadn't seen him before,they all let out a big gobble, but it sounded a bit squeeky!!!! lol

So now I'm practising my Paul Kelly turn and saying right girls and boys, 1, 2, 3, gobble gobble gobble, and sometimes they do it right!!!!  Its really funny!  Also a few of the larger stags are starting to display and their necks are beginning to turn red,so they are beginning to look like turkeys now, although their snoods won't be as long as a bronze turkey's snood.  They are getting quite big too, so I must weigh them this week to see how they are getting on.  They will be 6 weeks old and I haven't weighed them for 3 weeks.  I think they were up to 600gms 3 weeks ago, so will be intersting to see what they are now.  And I'll take some more photo's to see if I can show you how they are getting on.

We've got several orders for christmas turkeys too, so that's good, and some more meat chicks on order,but I need to up my order if possible, but I haven't told Poulet yet! lol  Will email him tomorrow and see if he may have some extras coming on!!  We sold 12 Amberlinks today, even though they are not 10 weeks old yet, And although 2 people have let me down over the Babcock's, the last 13 are going this coming week.  And I've had more reoprts of more of them beginning to lay, so that's good!  I'm really pleased about that.

Still, I'll let you know how the turkeys weights are coming on early in the week.
