No, she can't be replaced but she can have a successor when you feel ready. I don't have any hens yet but am hoping to start keeping them in a month or two. In the meantime I'm doing plenty of reading and research and having great fun doing so. I did a wonderful course with Alison at Hook Farm in Hampshire recently. And I'm pleased your Babcock's are growing well! And yes, they are great characters are't they? Have you started talking to them yet????
